BIOGRAPHY & HISTORY

BIOGRAPHY:

Images of Eden is a melodic, passion-based progressive hard rock/metal project originating from the Baltimore, MD/ York, PA-USA region. With the release of 2 full length CDs- "Chapter I" (Independent- 2001) & "Sunlight of the Spirit" (Nightmare Records- 2006), and playing live over the past 6 years, they are quickly gaining notariety locally, as well as through North America and Europe. Images of Eden is compared to (and influenced by) bands such as Queensryche, Fates Warning, Dream Theater, as well as many other Progressive-Hard Rock/ Progressive-Metal bands.

Images of Eden is a very unique project in that each CD (album, release) is a chapter of a story, portraying an ongoing journey through life, told in a very positive/ uplifting way, with each release picking up where the previous one has left off.

"Eden" describes the inner peace, serenity, strength, and love that lies within us all. The weight of the world every day can be a heavy burden on us, but one must separate themselves and their own lives from the outside world and find their own "Eden". Quality of life should not be judged by one's surroundings, but how one adapts to and deals with their surroundings, because a perfect world can truely exist. It can be found inside one's own mind, body and soul. You can choose to exist in a apathetic, dismal world of negativity- or you can choose to find the "Eden" that lies within you.

Their 2001 debut CD, "Chapter I", was recorded by Gordon Tittsworth as a one-man project (with a session drummer) with a goal to form the ultimate Mid-Atlantic Hard Rock project around. "Sunlight of the Spirit" (the long awaited follow up to the independent 2001 release of "Chapter I") is now available worldwide on Nightmare Records.

HISTORY:

The concept of Images of Eden began in fall of 1998 when founder, vocalist, Gordon Tittsworth, parted ways with his previous band, Out Of Nowhere. After dealing with seemlingly endless unmotivation and lack of competence/ creativity, Gordon decided that it was time to bring his vision to life without having it diluted or compromised. In September 1999, he went into the studio with only a session drummer to record the debut Images of Eden CD (later to be known as "Chapter-I") with engineer Bill Dickson. The goal was to fully produce an original/ unique CD, playing all of the instruments (except drums). The final product would then be used to carefully select musicians to fulfill the Images of Eden lineup.

- In spring of 2001, "Chapter-I" was complete and Gordon had selected what was later to be the "initial" Images of Eden lineup (Dennis Mullin- Guitar, Chris Brush- Bass, Maurice Carroll- Keyboards & John Swanson- Drums). The lineup went through some "fine-tuning" and the band would quickly become a 3-piece for the next few years (Gordon Tittsworth- Vocals, Bass & Keyboards, Dennis Mullin- Guitar, Bobby Minter- Drums).

- In 2003, Images of Eden parted ways with drummer, Bobby Minter, replacing him with Matt Kaiser. They also added Brian Gulin on Bass Guitar. The band would play live locally/ regionally in the Baltimore, MD/ York, PA- USA area for the next few years, gaining regional notariety as well as winning local "Battle of the Bands" competitions.

- In 2004, Brian Gulin left Images of Eden just before they began recording "Sunlight of the Spirit", the long-awaited follow up to the 2001 release of "Chapter-I". It would be 2 years and 2 record labels later before the CD would finally be released worldwide by Nightmare Records on November 21, 2006.

- In 2006, Bryan Wierman joined Images of Eden on Bass Guitar. After numerous reviews, interviews and worldwide airplay, in December, 2006, "Sunlight of the Spirit" hit #17 on the college radio charts for the entire USA (thanks to Mark Blair Glunt of Silent Planet Promotions for his unending faith and support)!

- Over the next 12 months, Images of Eden would play live in support of "Sunlight of the Spirit" while Gordon works on new material for the 3rd release. The new year (2008) is going to be very promising in many ways. Images of Eden has some major surprises pending as well as national festival interest. Gordon will also be re-releasing a re-mastered version of "Chapter-I" on Astral Sun Records in the upcoming months.
